You know that I'm not a Christian, and so...Dj,

You know that I'm not a Christian, and so my beliefs are in some ways widely different than what you articulate. But I was deeply moved by a few things you said...things that if they had been spoken more frequently by my Christian role models growing up, might have impacted my path greatly. I think there is wisdom in these words of yours that transcends any differences in belief we might have, so I hope you won't be uncomfortable if I quote you in commenting on your own blog:

We pay God in acts of love, compassion, worship, kindness and all things that He has said, has seen and has declared to be good.

But let me encourage other men...to remember the importance of their loan and to cherish those children with the ability and potential that God knows you have.

In these statements, you reference a God worth believing in. And in making them, you give us a man worth believing in.

I'm proud to be your friend.

Love,
RussellRussell Koltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00994224930067209049noreply@blogger.com
